David Dixon talks about density, equity and the future of planning.
Urban planner David Dixon has had a major impact on some pretty important places. He helped New Orleans recover after Hurricane Katrina, and he played a big role in turning Cambridge, Massachusetts one of the premiere innovation eco-systems in the world. unPlanned talks to David -- now an urban planning fellow at Stantec -- about these projects as well as his work in places like Buffalo, NY and Memphis, TN. And of course, we talk about Covid. He states that equity must play in planning going forward and why localities cannot turn away from density and walkability in the 21st century.
