The Game of Cricket, with Ratnakar Vellanki

Cricket is a game played the world over, from South Africa to India to England and even here in the United States. (Indeed, the first international cricket match was played between the U.S. and Canada in 1844 right in the heart of New York City.)

And it's not just a sport. It's also big business and it's tied into the elites in politics and movies particularly in India, where young boys will find a bat and a ball and a good location — be that a park or a parking lot — and play.

We sit down with Ratnakar Vellanki, a lifelong cricket fan, to understand better what it is about this game that makes it so interesting, especially since you can play it over five days and still end up in a draw.
